The NUMBERS

The 13 Lunar Nawales of the Mayan Sacred Calendar

Jun

Jun (1)

Jun is the sacred union of the Divine Feminine and Divine Masculine — the originating force through which all of creation is conceived, planted, and called into form.

Keb'

Keb' (2)

If Jun is the conception, then Keb' is the birth — the sacred rupture through which new life enters the world. The first great sacrifice. The original threshold. And like all births, it does not arrive without difficulty.

Oxib'

Oxib' (3)

Oxib' is the breath of the divine moving through — the sacred transmission that arrives when one is still enough to receive it. If Jun is the conception and Keb' the birth, then Oxib' is the first breath.

Kajib'

Kajib' (4)

Kajib' is the light of the Sun illuminating all things into coherence — the sacred force of order, clarity, and unified vision. If 1 is the conception, 2 the birth, and 3 the first breath, then 4 is the moment the cosmos places its hand on the newborn soul and says: this is who you are.

Job'

Job' (5)

Job' is the force of memory made material — structures, habits, and inherited patterns that shape us. If 1 through 4 give us conception, birth, breath, and blueprint — then 5 is the moment we make contact with earth. Structure lands and forms. And with it, everything the lineage has been carrying arrives too.

Waqib'

Waqib' (6)

Waqib' is the rain of influence moving through all things — the divine ray that arrives from beyond, awakening the soul to beauty, vision, and the impulse to grow. In the journey of the human spirit moving through the numbers, Waqib' is the moment the growing being begins to perceive reality more fully.

Wuqub'

Wuqub' (7)

Wuqub' is the power of the nocturnal Jaguar — the deep, occult force that moves beneath the surface of all things, waiting to be claimed from within. In the journey of the soul through the numbers, Wuqub' marks a profound turning point. The being has been conceived, born, breathed into, given its blueprint, rooted in its inheritance, and opened to outer influence. Now comes the descent inward.

Wajxaqib'

Wajxaqib' (8)

Wajxaqib' is the divine spark planted in the human heart — the sacred seed of what we are capable of becoming, and the call to realize it fully. In the journey of the soul through the numbers, Wajxaqib' is the moment the being encounters its own divine prototype. The archetype of the perfect human — not perfect as in flawless, but perfect as in complete. Whole. Fully expressed.

Belejeb'

Belejeb' (9)

Belejeb' is the intelligence of the serpent and the young jaguar beneath the waters of mystery — the magical, innate knowing that transforms intention into miracle. In the journey of the soul through the numbers, Belejeb' is the descent. Creation requires going under. Between intention and manifestation there is a gestation — a necessary time in the dark, in the subconscious, in the watery mystery where things are formed before they are born.

Lajuj

Lajuj (10)

Lajuj is the sacred dissolution — the moment something completes itself, releases its form, and transforms into what comes next. In the journey of the soul through the numbers, Lajuj is the evolutionary leap. The being has been seeded, formed, rooted, inspired, empowered, and initiated into magic. Now comes the molt. The old skin must go. Not because it was wrong, but because it has been outgrown.

Julajuj

Julajuj (11)

Julajuj is the authority that emanates from deep connection with the Earth — the staff of the shepherd, earned through sacrifice, service, and alignment with the living intelligence beneath our feet. In the journey of the soul through the numbers, Julajuj carries a reinitiation of 1 — but now the energy returns to the Earth, grounded and tested.

Kab'lajuj'

Kab'lajuj (12)

Kab'lajuj is the light of Venus at its fullest — the celestial force of expansion, victory, and hard-won wisdom ripened into a gift meant to be shared. In the journey of the soul through the numbers, Kab'lajuj is the moment of conquest. But conquest in the Maya Cosmovision is not domination — it is the fulfillment of potential. It is the expansion that happens when a life has been lived with intention and the harvest is finally, abundantly, undeniably real.

Oxlajuj

Oxlajuj (13)

Oxlajuj is the full moon of the sacred calendar — the culmination of all that has been lived, integrated, and now illuminated. Oxlajuj is the crowning — the total integration of every conception, every birth, every breath, every blueprint, every root, every influence, every descent, every spark, every mystery, every dissolution, every offering, every harvest — woven together at last into the one thing the soul has always been moving toward: wholeness.
