my story & path

I am Kajib' No’j
(4 Woodpecker)

My studies began in late 2020 with Mark Elmy, Ajq'ij.

The world had gone strange that year. The Cholq'ij made sense of it. As a visual artist and numerologist, its mathematics and astronomy were an immediate doorway.

Years later, a second Ajq'ij brought me to its ceremonial heart. The teachings entered my body then. They took root. They settled.

Since then...

it has filled every molecule of my being. It became my living altar. My morning ritual. My daily devotion.

The study deepened — into art, into authorship, into discipline.

Ajtijoxel (Student) of the Saq' Be' (The White Road).

Discovering the Cholq’ij

THE ART

of Interpretation

I walk the Cholq'ij through both ritual and the art of writing.

On Substack, I share each day's unique energy — drawing from traditional teachings, academic sources, and direct observation of how these forces move through my life, through others, and through the world.

The practice began in 2020 with short affirmations and poems. A mentor encouraged me to publish. Ajq'ij Carlos Luis Urteaga taught me the Trecenas. The work deepened, the synchronicities amplified.

By November 2023, it had become a Substack — a living library of art, glyphs, daily readings, nawales, numbers, and animal guardians. Built from my own need for a comprehensive resource. It has never missed a day.

Why?

To Look Beneath

The Cholq'ij works on the deep levels — intuition, perception, the conscious and unconscious, waking life and dream. Followed as an instruction manual, it reshapes how you see.

I call myself an Architect of Observation. One who looks beneath the surface of what is presented. One who seeks to understand and create from that deeper place.

...And to Live in Cosmic Order

Guatemala changed something. Immersed in ceremony, in the source land of this wisdom, I understood the Cholq'ij for what it truly is — an elegant arc of cosmic order guiding the evolution of every human being.

Each day, a fresh opportunity to expand and become your own guide. Practiced consistently, it shapes you into something attuned, grounded, and whole.

THE UPGRADE

How the Cholq'ij Transforms

Engaging with it consistently, perception deepens. Mind-bending, heart-opening synchronicities become a natural part of life.

The Cholq'ij reawakens the pure, childlike wonder many of us lose in adulthood — clouded by collective fear and misalignment with our true self. Practiced with intention, it transforms resistance, uncertainty, and confusion into clearer purpose and fearless living.

To uncover my true essence, I had to break free from limiting social imprints. The Cholq'ij remains my daily tool for that ongoing liberation.

Living the

Sacred Rhythm

Through the Cholq'ij, I've discovered I can consciously align my days with natural law.

Its rhythmic magic is somatic, lived — harmonizing left and right hemispheres, masculine and feminine, mind and body, spirituality and practicality.

This is what it means to truly live the Sacred Calendar — what I call Living the Fourfold Sacred Rhythm.

Walking in balance with Heart of the Sky and Heart of the Earth, the four directions, and the four dimensions of human experience: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.

The more we align with natural law, the more our authentic self is revealed — the one that celebrates the beauty and fullness of life.

the walk continues

I'm committed to pursue my initiation as an Ajq’ij—a journey that spans many years.

The offerings on this site carry the Tz'ite seed blessings I have received from Denise Barrios, Mayan Spiritual Guide of the K'iche' lineage. From my home base in Austin, Texas, I continue to observe, create, and train.
